Fleadh Átha Cliath 2022 is returning after an absence of 2 years. It’s on in St. David’s CBS, Artane on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th of May.
If you would like your child to compete in any of the Solo, Duet or Trio Competitions, please email craobhnaithi@comhaltas.net and we will send you the application form.
Craobh Naithí will be taking entries on Thursday 24th March in the hall, and will have some blank forms at the desk for you to fill in. The cost is €2 per entry.
There are 3 age categories:-
U 12 for children born in 2010 & younger (There may also be a U-10 competition for Tin Whistle & Fiddle, but this is not confirmed yet).
12 – 15 for children born in 2009, 2008 & 2007
15-18 for children born in 2006, 2005 & 2004
O-18 2003 & older
Your child’s music teachers will help & advise on what tunes to play.
We also have copies of ‘Rialacha Fleadhanna Ceoil’ the Fleadh rules which has a lot of helpful information, such as choice and number of tunes etc.
Our Grúpaí Cheoil are continuing to play together from 6pm – 7pm in the school, and are open to all musicians. Craobh Naithí will have a concert/performance in May where we’ll be able to hear all our musicians playing. We’ll give you more information about this when it is organised.
